Summary of Operational Capabilities

The Plant Growth Facility (PGF) is a self-contained unit designed to support plant growth while providing an acceptable environment for normal plant growth.

The Plant Growth Facility (PGF) was designed and developed by the Life Science Support Contractor, Bionetics Corporation, at KSC through a subcontract with Arthur D. Little, Inc.

Technical Details

The complete system replaces a standard Space Shuttle Program (SSP) middeck locker.
